Software for Life Sciences B.V. (Szienz, licensor, we, us, our, party or together parties), headquartered in the Netherlands, offers a Laboratory Information Management System (LabScores);
By purchasing and/or using LabScores in any way, you (Licensee, you, yours, party or together parties) accept this Privacy Policy as an integral part of the Terms and Conditions of Szienz or as an integral part of the Master Software Agreement we as parties have agreed.
Scope, Context and your Information
LabScores
We do not host LabScores for customers. LabScores runs on site at the customer’s premises, or in an offsite hosting environment established by the customer or a combination of these two options. Szienz has access to the customer’s LabScores instance for only software update purposes. We do not collect or store customer data. If customer data needs to be migrated to a newer version, then it is with explicit permission of the customer or within the scope of the license agreement update policy.
Information we collect and may use
Information you provide to us: When you register for and use LabScores, you are providing us with information which we collect. This information may include your name, billing and mailing address, email address and phone number.
We use third-parties to manage invoice processing and customer support. These third-parties are not permitted to store, retain or use your personal information for any other purpose except for the purpose it is meant for.
We collect personal data in the following situations only. In these cases we are acting as a data processor with respect to your personal data. We need this minimal amount of data to be able to provide you services and support.
If you think that we should not use your personal data in this way and would like your data to be deleted, please let us know via [email protected]. We might not be able to provide you the service and support you need for running LabScores after your data is removed.
Information from communication with us: We may process information contained in or relating to any communication that you send to us. The correspondence data may be processed for the purposes of communicating with you.
Cookies: We as Szienz do not store cookies, strings of code, on your computer when you use our website.
Third Party Cookies: The use of cookies by third parties is not covered by our Privacy Policy. We do not have access or control over these cookies.
Do not supply any other person's personal data to us, unless we request you to do so.

We may process and disclose any of your personal data identified in this policy statement where necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, whether in court proceedings or in an administrative or out-of-court procedure. - The ownership of all user data remains the property of the user.

Information Security
Szienz uses commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of our systems.
In particular:
- We monitor our information collection, storage and processing practices to guard against unauthorized access to systems;
- We restrict access to personal information to Szienz employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to process it for us, and who are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.
- LabScores account passwords are hashed. Our own staff can't even view them. If you lose your password, it can't be retrieved, it must be reset.
